Thank you again for all your creativity.  I hope this helps many of you who are stumped or just a little late in creating something from the heart.  I know I am very late since Father's Day is two days away and I still haven't finished.  Let's just blame the stress on the end of the school year/report cards/constant rain=indoor recess/crazy second graders/computer trouble and a big order for the Fourth of July.  You know how it is :)  Stay tuned sometime this week to see what I whipped up for the little man's big man!
Have a great Father's Day!

Weekend Wedding In NH

My husband and I (my mom was sweet enough to watch the little man for the day) attended his half-brothers wedding this past weekend in Sugar Hill, New Hampshire.  It was about a four hour drive up there but nothing beats the absolutely stunning views of the White Mountains and the LUPINES!  I was taken back by all the gorgeous fields of purple, pink, and white lupines!  Apparently this past weekend was also the Lupine Festival in Sugar Hill.  The wedding venue was the Sunset Hill House and it was beautiful.  You can check out the place HERE.  Behind the inn, it overlooks the White Mountains and it is just breathtaking.  I apologize for my pictures, I did not bring my camera and had to settle for cell phone pictures.  Here are some surrounding views.

Sadly, it was very rainy in the morning but cleared up a bit for the wedding to be held outdoors even though it was only about 52 degrees!  Here are some pictures of the ceremony.  You can see the White Mountains in the background.  Isn't the bride stunning!

Then some dancing inside.

Then lastly, in front of the inn is a golf course but there is also a huge field of Lupines!

I definitely want to go up again next year for the whole weekend and just take some pictures and enjoy the festival.  If you get a chance to experience this make sure you take some pictures and have plenty of time to enjoy it!

Congratulations to Danny and Angelique!
Best of luck in your new adventure as husband and wife!

New Addition to my Chalkboard Pots

So I modified six Terracotta pots with chalkboard pot right below the top rim.  I also created a tutorial if you are interested, just click HERE!  Well after planting my herbs and looking at them for a while, I realized there was something missing.  So off to the store I went in search of inspiration.

Here's the before picture!
Not too bad!
Now for the after pictures!

OOPS! I should have removed the yellow basil leaf :)

All I added was some polished hemp twine I found at Walmart wrapped around the top rim and glued in place.  For the second pot, I braided three pieces of the twine and then tied and glued them right under the rim.  It was definitely an easy change and very simple but I like that the pots look finished now.
A few more pictures...

I still have four more to do but I might think of something else to add.  Also I have been planning on an end of the year gift with chalkboard pots and herbs for my very special friend and co-worker who definitely helps my classroom run smoothly!
Only 7 more days until summer!
What do you have planned?

Thank You Card Printable

Thank You!

After posting my thanks to all of my followers and friendly commentors (not sure if this is a word), I decided I would make some thank you cards for you as a token of my appreciation.

Since I am a teacher and figured I would need a bunch of thank you notes for the end of the year, I used an apple and my new favorite, black and white polka-dots!  The inside is completely blank so you can personalize it any way you want.

All you have to do is print the download on cardstock or thick photo paper.  Using a paper cutter, cut directly down the middle, then fold each card in half.  The cards are made to fit inside A2 envelopes which you can pick up at Staples in every color.  How great would these look with a red envelope, YUM!

How adorable would these be with if you added some red or white envelopes, tied them up with a ribbon and included them with your child's end of the year teacher gift.

If you are interested in this free printable I would love it if you left me some love in the comment section and shared how you plan on using the thank you cards.  To download, please click HERE!

NOTE: These thank you notes are created by KT Designs and are for personal use only.  I ask that you do not alter my design logo and please direct friends here to download.  Thank you!

Thank you!

I just want to send a heartfelt thank you out to everyone who has followed my blog, added a comment, or used any of my tutorials or free printables.  When I started this blog, I wasn't sure what to expect.  Receiving such kind words and supportive praise was definitely a huge BONUS!  I love sharing my creativity and I feel blessed to share it with you.  I wish I knew how to send out response comments to the comments you have posted but until then, I hope this thank you puts a smile on your face :)!

Thanks!

MIA and Flowers

I am so sorry I have been MIA for a little while.  Life has been a little crazy around here with the warmer and drier weather.  Lots of planting, weeding, cutting, mulching, etc. still needs to be done all while entertaining my little man and making sure he's being safe (totally a full time job at this point).

On top of that, one of my dogs spent the weekend in the vets office due to a baby woodchuck that I saved from her.  Yup, Zoe found it and tried to eat it but was scratched or bit instead and had to be monitored at the vets because she ended up with a nasty hot spot on the side of her neck.  $500+ later and I can't believe I saved the animal!

Plus it's the end of the school year for me.  Only 12 more days until summer so I have been busy creating new word walls (we are now using the Fundation trick words), making new name tags, finalizing report cards, organizing files, and cleaning and packing the classroom up.  I love this time of year because it forces me to go through the stuff I have and organize what I need to keep and what I need to throw out.  However, when you try to end one year while planning for the next it gets a little hectic.  I am not sure how many followers I have that are teachers but hopefully I can upload some of the things I have created and share some pictures of the trick word wall with you.

Until then, I wanted to share some pictures I took of my garden.  Right now my favorite part is right around our well house, a huge purchase when we bought our house but I absolutely love it!!!  If you are interested in buying one Carefree Sheds in Colchester, CT. sells them.  Enjoy!

I hope your day has been as colorful as mine!
Happy Summer!
