{Birthday Series} Butterfly Collection Goodie Bags

I was asked to make some goodie bag tags that coordinates with the butterfly invitations and the butterfly banner.  You can check out the collection by clicking HERE and HERE!
Here's some photos of the invitation I created for this little girl's first birthday!  Please note: all confidential information has been removed to respect the privacy of my customer.

I used the same butterfly and scalloped shape to make the tags for the goodie bags.  I also added a little note to the back saying "Thanks for coming! xo, (name)"

She also wanted a couple of boy themed tags to give out to the boys attending the party.  We decided on a frog with the same saying on the back.

Here are the three tags all together.  Which one is your favorite?
Well, tags would not be complete without the bags to tie them to.  So here is the finished product!

If you are interested in ordering any goodie bags and tags please email me at ktdesigns-katania@hotmail.com.  I can send you more information, provide you with a quote, or create something custom for your event!

Birthday Series: Construction Birthday Part Two and a Half: Decorations Con't

Welcome to part two and a half... :) Yup, I'm just crazy!  But anyways, since I had more pictures of the different decorations than I though, I had to break this segment up into two parts.  I used these plates and napkins as my inspiration for the decorations in the house.  You can order them at http://www.birthdayexpress.com/Construction-Pals-2nd-Birthday-Party-Supplies/65918/PartyKitDetail.aspx as well as other items that relate to a construction theme.

Dinner plate (8) $3.49

Dessert plate (8) $2.99

Napkins (16) $3.49
For most of the decorations inside my house, I used tons of balloon in blue, orange, and yellow and tied them in bunches around my living room and dining room.  HOWEVER, instead of using those weighted bases to keep them down, I taped each bunch on the inside of construction cones.

The only sad thing is I forgot to take pictures of the balloons and construction cones inside because family members arrived a bit too early. Boo hoo!  I also have to apologize for the less than adequate pictures I took outside.  It was getting dark by the time I remembered to take some pictures.  This is what the front of our house looked like.  (Note: My neighbors thought we were having work done on our sidewalk.  Too funny!)

My husband added the shovel and we attached more balloons to the handle.  I used this caution tape that I found at http://www.birthdayexpress.com/Caution-Party-Tape-20/24533/ProductDetail.aspx to line the sidewalk and used cones I had collected a few years ago.
As you open the door to my house you are greeted with the birthday wreath and then this view of the stairs.  (again, so sorry for the horrible pictures and the view of my dog's rear end)
Lastly, I picked up these galvanized buckets from Target's dollar section (can I just say how much I love Target.  I mean seriously, I could spend so much money there in practically every section. LOVE LOVE LOVE TARGET) Then I cut out three shadows of the dump truck (Boys will be Boys cartridge) I used for R's invites and wrote forks, spoons, and knives with a white marker so it had the look of a chalkboard.  What do you think?

If you ever see these little buckets at Target, I encourage you to pick them up because they are so useful.  I actually popped off the dump trucks and will use them during our next party.  My little man also has a blue one to hold all his pacifiers.  I might have to add some vinyl polka dots to a few just for fun.

Stay tuned for the Birthday Series Part Three: THE CAKE!

Birthday Series: Construction Birthday Part Two: Decorations

Birthday Balloon Wreath

Welcome to Part Two of the Birthday Series! I have many photos of some of the decorations I put up for my little man's second birthday.  Sadly, I ran out of time to finish taking pictures because some family members showed up 30 minutes early! UGH! Usually everyone in my family is late :)  But anyways...

I created this adorable balloon wreath with the great tutorial over at How Does She?  Seriously, check out this website when you are done reading because they have some great ideas :)  The only thing I did differently is to use a foam wreath frame rather than the straw wreath.  I always try to use what I have on hand and I had recently taken apart Baby's R diaper wreath (yeah I know a little late but who cares it looked so cute on his door). So guest were greeted at out door with this lovely wreath just to set the tone of a hoppin' party inside.

I used red, white, light blue, and dark blue balloons that I found at Walmart and the greening pin packs.  I also added some loops of left over ribbon I had.

Note: Your fingers will kill you for the next couple of days after pushing in pin after pin.  Also be very careful with any pins that make their way out the side because they are very sharp.

Free Printable Happy Birthday Sign
This is my first attempt at making a printable since at the time I couldn't find anything online for birthdays.
Once again... I am still learning :)  I had three frames on our table as family members came in.  One frame held the invitation, another a current picture of the little man, and I framed this printable in a large black frame with a double mat from Michaels.
If you are interested in the FREE printable for any of your birthday needs you can download it HERE
I would love to here what you think :)

Happy Birthday Banner

Cartridges used:
Birthday Bash
Boys Will Be Boys
I used lots of laying for both the banner and the letters and pop dotted almost everything.  I also added three small red rhinestones to each corner.

I still have some more photos of decorations so stay tuned for Part Two and a Half tomorrow :)

Birthday Series: Construction Birthday Party Part One: Invitations

We just celebrated my little man's second birthday at the beginning of March.  I really can't believe he is already TWO!!! Whoa, where did the time go?  But anyways... for his first birthday we went with a farm animal theme and I definitely didn't go all out with the decorations.  This year I was a bit more creative!  We planned a construction birthday party because Baby R absolutely loves all sorts of big construction vehicles.  Also how stinking cute is a two year old in a plastic construction hat!!!
Yup! It's backwards but he's adorable anyways!  Notice the plaid work shirt :) and he also wore jeans and of course work boots.  I also ordered a construction vest for him to wear but he decided he rather not! Oh well!

Well back to the party planning, I created my little man's invites using the computer and my Cricut Expression.  I used the Boys Will Be Boys cartridge for the design.  Here are the invitations minus all the important info.  I would love to hear what you think of them:)

The invite says:

A celebration is under construction for (child)'s birthday!

Report for duty:
(Date)

Construction site:
(Place)

RSVP to site supervisor:
(telephone number)

The number 2 is also from Boys Will Be Boys

I pop dotted the image to add a little dimension to the invite

If you are interested in personalized invitations of any kind, please leave me a comment or email me here (make sure your subject states INVITATIONS) for options and current pricing :)

Look for the following parts of the birthday series later this week:
