I HAVE to make these!

OMG! I was blog surfing today during nap time of course and came across these adorable clothespins over at

Source: Scrapbook & Cards Today

Now these babies really put my clothespins to shame (:( sob).  Anyways... I absolutely HAVE to make these!  I can't wait to go to Walmart tomorrow for some paint, magnets, wire, and clothespins. Hopefully I will have another project done and a new post with my new clothespin butterflies soon.
Also check out the bird houses too!

I am thinking these would make an adorable mantel display.  Too bad I don't have a mantel but I might just invest in a couple of different birdhouses for my spring decor.

Ahhh... I just love when I find an idea I am excited about and can pull together pretty easily, don't you?

Cute Large Clothespins Tutorial

I have had a set of 6 large clothespins forever and just never got around to creating anything with them.  So I finally took out my supplies and created some adorable picture holders, memo holders, and magnetic clothespins for the fridge.  I also have a tutorial for you in case you want to make some for yourself.  Are you ready for the big reveal!!!  Here they are!

Now for the tutorial...
Supplies

Large clothespins (find them here)
White spray paint
Mod Podge
Paint Brush
Pretty Scrapbook Paper
Paper Cutter
Nail File
Ribbon

Step One: Spray paint your clothespins with the white spray paint and let dry overnight.  You might find that some edges won't take paint and that is okay because you don't want them to be perfect.
Step Two: Measure the width and length of your clothespin and cut two strips of paper to fit each side.
Step Three:  Using a small paint brush, coat one side of your clothespin with Mod Podge and then press the paper down making sure to smooth out any bubbles.
Step Four: Cover the entire paper with another coat of Mod Podge to form a nice even coat and protect the paper.
Step Five: Repeat step three and four for the other side of the clothespin.
Step Six: Once the Mod Podge has dried (let it sit overnight) using a nail file, file away at any excess paper overhanging the edges.  This also adds an antique look to the clothespins.
Step Seven: Attach a bow, button, flower or whatever you have in your stash.  If you want it to be a magnet be sure to find a heavy duty magnet that will hold these babies up (They are heavy!)
Step Eight: Voila! Display your adorable clothespins for all to see!

Adorable, right?
I would love to hear if you plan on making a set of these.  Also, please leave me a comment if you found this helpful :)
